I'm not poor. I have a mini v2 to fart around with for around a year and have beaten mostly n64 games on it, but a handful of ps1 and ps2 (got a q later about integer scaling). I have a 3yo who can easily navigate the android system and knows to only do dolphin emulator. I know I'm a shitty parent for forcing GameCube but the bakers dozen games I have for that emulator I'm fine with him playing. Where n64 and PS+ are 'shooting games'. I have around $150 and am thinking the retroid classic. $121 shipped. The other part of me is saying get a 3326 / 3566 and embrace the lower end open source devices. Nothing 16:9. Take or leave sticks and paddles. If its a SNES/ps1< I'm fine. MINILOONG Pocket? Idk. Kids just wants a gameboy. What's the best screen and controls I can get on a rockchip or other Linux soc that has manufacturers open drivers?

We play around 1hr a week on my mini v2. Hes not a tablet kid, he likes the puzzles. He can also takeoff and land a Cessna IRL with very little (rudder) assistance. He can also park my tractor. What's the best OS for shart pro? I tried NextUI, but don't like the MinUI style BIOS folders (I prefer having all of them blobbed in a single folder). SpruceOS seems okay, but Wonderswan sound lags a bit, for some reason, and Portmaster doesn't work properly. Should I try the latest MuOS? I've put it on the Brick, and it seems fine, but I can't find the swap file settings (used to be in an additional settings menu, but seems like it was removed).

I installed the current muOS build. Seems bretty good, though I can't tell if boot times and performance have suffered slightly or not. The web UI is kinda dope and general navigation on the system itself has improved. Pickles seems to be far less insufferable to use/configure compared to RetroArch, though the available shaders is laughable.

After testing new MuOS for a day, I think that I'll go back to previous version. Andromeda is slow and clunk and somehow it eats battery much faster and pickles is clunky as fuck and the fucking "WE DON'T HAVE GLOBAL SETTINGS WE ARE SO BASED" attitude of faggy dev means that I must setup hot keys and other settings for every core separately. And I still can't bind speed up just to single button.Is that the power of vibe coding? Reinventing the wheel but now it's square and makes puke and shit noises every time it turns?
