- The magic depletes very fast.
- Most enemies are damage sponges.
- Most rooms look the same.
- Most enemies are element armors or element demons.
- The character feels weak and dies from few hits.
When it starts to turn fun?

Use the fucking Venus + Salamander card combo. It's damage increase is huge since its applied before subtracting the enemy defense and the MP upkeep is so low that you can keep it permanently active.

If you don't like it stop playing and find something else. The more time you spend on it the more you're going to want to come here and bitch. Just play something else and save us all the time.

The game's damage scaling is fucking weird, it's not linear so a few levels make a huge difference.

Being able to run is nice, some of the card combos are super broken but yeah this one is a little rough and requires a decent amount of grinding here and there. The gameplay loop doesn't really change and the endgame is far more tedious, if you're not enjoying it early on, you won't at any point. aria of sorrow is probably the best one for the gba. The DS ones are good except for order of ecclesia.

Yeah, this game sucks. I tried playing it, expecting to like it, and it was terrible. I walked through a hallway and saw the same exact enemy placements copy and pasted more than 8 times. It was comical. I'm sure the sequels are better, but this was a very dire start to the GBA Castlevanias.

It's extremely easy and beatable in around 20-30 hours. All you need to do is spam the crucifix and you can cake walk through most of the game.

Criticizing this game triggers all the GBA babbies who played it as their first Castlevania. It's a trash game, and honestly this game tricks a lot of people because:
1) i's in a great series with very few bad games
2) there are nintendo babbies who defend it
So many people are inclined to believe that it's good. Oh how wrong are they.
