Overrated? People barely mention it. It's a fun game, unique in its homing attack system, Psychic Killer Taromaru is the only other game with similar gameplay in that regard. It's short but it's good for replays and enjoy the ride, graphics and music and art direction feels very late 80s/early 90s, like an OVA in video game form.

I like it. It was the first game on the Genesis I played that was colorful. In that early time of just Altered Beast, Revenge of Shinobi, Golden Axe, Castle of Illusion, and Strider I had thought the color palette of the Genesis was all muted and the system was incapable of colors; well, more incapable than it already was. Maybe it was an over-correction from the Master System days, but it did stand out for its different art direction to me. The gameplay is also interesting as you had to manage other life bars and their levels as well as your own in an action platforming game. To be fair, it did seem like no one else but my cousins and I knew of the game.
