I also feel like n64 party games like smash bros, mario kart hold up much better than playstation stuff. Unfortunately you really do need the original hardware and a crt for N64, unlike playstation

Fightcade or RetroArch. Next question.Also, play Crash and Spyro trilogies plus Crash Team Racing, if you want something like Nintendo but on PS1.

If you didn't grow up playing retro games, you'll never understand them. People like us have been spoiled by decades of innovation that it's difficult to go back without rose-tinted glasses. The only retro games I can stomach are puzzle games like Puyo and shmups like Gunbird . Maybe the occasional JRPG, but anything that from the early days of 3D vidya, with clunky controls and dither wobble gets a big fat "nope" from me. Try sticking to 2D games. They're timeless and much easier to play.
