I wanna get back into gaming again, especially retro games that I missed while growing up (was basically a Nintendo kid with some random 360 titles thrown in there)

From like the 16-bit era onwards, what are some games you think I should start with

OP play the Oddworld series. Legitimately great games and I never hear anybody talk about them. Maybe it's just nostalgia but I think the atmosphere is really unique. Start with the first one on the ps1 and then play the sequel if you like it.

Honestly? Just go to any rom website or archive redumps and download random stuff there and try it out.
It's much better to embark on an adventure instead of being taken on a tour.I've found some crazy hidden gems this way
