A curious note. The most successful festival lead player cut apples entirely from his list. Thinking about it it makes sense, with gladion and bangle you already reach 340 with seaking while drawing a fuckton of cards and always having a festival lead pokemon available. You also get more room for tech cards like moltres and a playset of mists, not to mention hand sacking cards like ultra and trimmer to secure gladion plays. You also improve your excadrill matchup so it is no longer an autoloss but let go the advantage against zoroark and garchomp which are not that relevant so it is a good tradeoff in my opinion. Truly and interesting list.

I modified the crustle worlds list a little bit. I noticed the eri’s were kind of a waste. Probably good in a tournament where people hold items longer but not that good against randoms on live. The 2nd buddy poffin felt like a dead card a lot too. Any other card I should play instead of hammers? I amend my previous statements on ZamNoir. Granted, I changed the list (-1 Patrat, +1 PokeGear), but it's been playing a lot more smoothly. Might even cut Shaymin too. I don't respect Munki or bench sniping compared to consistency, and actually getting to my Supporters makes the deck play a lot better.

I need some help budgeting a Psyduck and more stadiums in this list. It's running really nicely against most things except PultNoir, which is rampant in my local leagues. Yea I can take the red card and the 60 HP Dunsparce out, but I feel like there may be something more to ZamMise I'm missing. I've thought about taking the candies out and reducing to a 2-1 Dunsparce line, so I can bump Zam line to 4-4-3 with more strange timepieces like that ZamNoir list from worlds. Feels like that might brick way more often though.

I'm working on a Pokemon TCG game with every card up to the XY era rebalanced to match the power level and conventions of that era and I want some opinions from players. How would you feel about the following proposals? Do they sound reasonable? Or crazy? >Proposal 1: Currently, how Weaknesses and Resistances work is that they say something like (Fire)x2, but the x2 can technically be anything. It's a math equation. It could theoretically say (Fire)+20 (and there are some cards that do that in DPP). So I theoretically have to take into account any possible math equation a card could have as their weakness value. Same with resistance. I was thinking of simplifying this so that there is no "x20", cards just show the type icon for the weakness and that's it. (I think Pocket does something similar, although my goal isn't to simplify the game to the extent that Pocket does.) For Resistance, it would just show the Resistance Icon. One icon would be Resistance -20, and two icons would be Resistance -40 (which most -30 cards would be buffed to, which seems fairly reasonable to me since Resistance is rarely relevant in the modern game anyway). The only thing that makes me hesitant about this is that I'm not sure if there might be some edge cases or obscure cards (from XY or prior) that mechanically rely on weakness amounts being different per card, or that might need a resistance to do something besides subtract damage. And it might not play well with some Pokemon Tool effects. So I'm not sure. Any opinions would be helpful.

How exactly do we make this viable in a "memeing at locals" way at the very least? Guessing sinistcha is a must as it resists pult. Terapagos + area zero could prove useful althought you'd have that gusted more often than not. That way you can hit 210 and if you include a bangle you can spare a spot for shaymin or patrat.
