I’ve been sparring people about performers failing to secure visas in the US:The US absolutely does not need foreign performers to have a thriving music scene. If foreign acts want to come here, they have to play by our rules, not us by theirs. If they failed to secure visas: that’s too bad but I don’t care. Try again next time.

Incredible levels of gacha corpo bootlicking which seems to be characteristic of anything that happens with this shit. The organizers only letting people know that the visas weren't approved a day before the event is INSANE. They didn't even give people enough time to change travel plans, the poor faggots only found out after having traveled to LA already.

Given the timing this is on par with someone going to pick up their travel visa's day before the flight and realized they fucked up.This reminds me of some of the e-sports people who get denied yearly and it's always "DA USA SUX" only weeks later it comes out they completely fumbled the paperwork and didn't respond to any emails asking for clarifications regarding return flights, place of stay, proof of funds, income earned from the visit, additional emergency information, etc. I get compared to other countries visiting the US is a bit more of a hurdle but come on, it have million of these kinds of visas issued each year for performers. I'm willing to bet more than not, someone just missed some emails and then last minute just blamed US customs because it's such an easy punching bag everyone would believe to be at fault
