Been reading Gun Knight Girl, just got Renka's route done. Very much a we have Muv-Luv Unlimited at home but it's pretty good. First time I've ever seen a route where the entire plot is the heroine being gaslit and going insane, even if the twist is pretty obvious, but it's a good time and her stabbing herself is enough to make you wonder if maybe she really is crazy.

NTA but yes. Each individual day isn't necessarily that special, but they really add up into something meaningful over time. The heroines are all lovely and I'm sure that almost everyone will really like at least one of them. Unlike a gacha where you have to log in during a certain time window, the once-per-day thing is an honor system in Love Plus, so there's no stress. You can miss a day and just play two days tomorrow, or play a whole week once every week, etc.It's a different kind of commitment than most visual novels because depending on how deep into it you get, you may be playing it for multiple real-life years, so you have to be prepared for that. And it's not necessarily the best-written VN ever or anything. But I don't know of any VN that does what Love Plus does better than it does.I'm really itching to start another playthrough soon. My last playthrough got cut short when I dropped the phone I was playing it on and I was stupid and never backed up my saves. I felt so fucking bad.

Playing Flyable Heart, and I mostly enjoyed the common route except for some tedious things like the zombie event and the water gun fight. It was pure filler that could have been used to develop the characters instead. I also ended up like Yui way more than I thought, she is very cute and adorable despite being a silly harapeko character I've seen a thousand times already. Now I'm starting Sakurako's route and I'm not convinced by their relationship at all. The MC is extremely passive and can't even be bothered to plan a date or even confess his feelings, while Sakurako is the typical gentle nice girl who just happened to chase after the boy closest to her (MC). She comes off as very pathetic and not likable in my eyes. How did the writers make me dislike a Toono Basedogi character? Shame on them. I hope her route gets better because at this point I couldn't care less about her.

The guy above is overexaggerating. While it has plot holes aplenty, the slice of life part is still kuso. I even unko'd on some routes. Maybe start with Kotori's route, if you want a taste of the good parts of de crapo.
