Got calf doms for the first time after going up and down the stairs in my building for 30 minutes. WTF, no amount of weighted calf raises ever gave a pump like this.

That's because you have two calf muscles, the soleus and gastric, one works when the knee is bent and one when the leg is straight. Going up stairs works both and if you're only doing standing or seated calf raises you're only working one

and the funniest thing is that u could get even better results going elevator up :Djavelin throwers get calves from stopping, blocking leg during throw, and yes i felt em going downstairs when domsed, NOT upstairsin actuality you can just repeat the experiment and see for yourself since you supposedly got calf soreness - downstairs is calves, upstairs is NOT>That's because you have two calf muscles, the soleus and gastrocnemius, one works when the knee is bent and one when the leg is straight.gastrocnemius arrests, stops knee extension, it bends the knee at near full extension, when center of mass is shifted forward it counteracts quad at kneehover small weight far away from shins with tucked pelvis (posterior tilt) and bent spine - you will feel gastrocnemius very fast
