female swimmers are so fucking weird. half of them are weird and autistic (you have to be to stare at a laneline for most of your waking hours), a lot of them are too insecure of their broad shoulders and simultaneously make a complex out of it while being too self-conscious to have sex and embrace male attraction. all of them have receding hairlines due to hours of having a swim cap yank their fucking hair back. somehow swimming turns white women into autistic aliens with somalian foreheads. > t. ex-college swimmer who spent way too much time with these gremlins. the dudes are always bros tho

It doesn't have to be the best, I like doing it anyway. It has improved my life a lot and I'm still just a beginner.

I want to learn how to swim. I find it almost impressive I can't swim considering I am surrounded by water on all sides here. Where do I even begin?

I swam competitvely from 6-18. I would consider swimming again if the local pool had attractive women that trained. But there aint, so I shaint. Too fucking boring solo.

Swimming is far from perfect for everyday life. >very few people swim for work, it's a leisure activity >swimming pools are expensive and often crowded >prep time takes a lot of time (changing clothes, showering, all this shit) >not much carryover to daily tasks (compared to lifting or running or even power walking) >induces little hypertrophy >chlorinated water isn't great for you

I started doing serious swimming, I have very good gains from it, it started recomping my body, I'm starting to get that swimmer body look rather than lifter build, which is way better imo. Getting tired of lifting and gradually switching to swimming, got bored of lifting. I started by going to classes 2x a week, now doing 3x a week plus one or two sessions by myself on the weekend. One of the nicest things is you get to be surrounded by hot girls in swimsuits, I hope to get good enough so I can start networking with them.

this argument always falls apart when you realize that even amateur level swimmers go to the gym multiple times per week. They are not building their bodies in the pool

Serious question. Why are the woman swimmers such high body fat compared to the men?I know the genetics bullshit that woman have higher bodyfat, but this is for the average person who does nothing and its around. Surely there is an optimum bodytype for swimming which is why the men don't deliberately pack on more bodyfat. The woman could be lean and ripped if they changed their diet and training routine for it.. the guys could also change their diet to be more fat.So what's the deal?
