Sup /ck/ I’m planning to be THE house the kids are talking about this Halloween. What should i really be offering? What candy made your night to get a lot of? Anyone with kids know what the big thing is these days?

My kid likes Peelz, 3Ds and sour shit. He got these gummies last year that were so fucking good but I don't recall the name right now since I didn't look at the wrapper, really. I can mind palace it, if you care enough. He's bougie about chocolate.

If you want to do standard fun size chocolates get the Costco Chocolate Favorites bag, it’s 27 cents an ounce which is hard to beat.I used to hand out the Pokémon Trick or Trade 3 card packs but they weren’t produced last year or this year, which sucks because the kids loved them.Sometimes Grocery Outlet has discounted gummy packs. They’re from normal brands but usually discontinued or previous limited run items

guys, can anyone help me find this candy. I remember only getting it during treat or treating as a kid in the 90's. they were these gummy things. individually packaged, often times multi colored, and they came in shape of bugs and worms and stuff like that. They were individually packaged in these plastic cast things almost, idk how to describe it. They also had a very distinct taste as opposed to say gummy bears or something

I haven't seen a trick or treater in years. Now they do trunk or treat events and things like that. Arguably the kids get way more candy from those than going door to door and it's more safe too.

If you do get trick or treaters give them the biggest pro tip. When they get home separate the chocolate candies from the fruity candies. For some reason keeping them all together makes the chocolate candies taste disgusting

Halloween as a national holiday is dying as many people have noticed. Twenty years ago there were always so many kids trick or treating that I always run out of candy. Neighbors would set up elaborate decorations, trick or treaters wouldn't stop coming until at least 10 and the whole neighborhood was alive with people and noise and merriment. Within the past decade the trick or treaters have slowed way down, the neighbors don't bother with elaborate decorations because there's no need, I never run out of candy, and the trick or treating stops by 8. It's kind of sad to see it die. It's nothing like it was in the 90s and 2000s.

When I was a kid there was a really sweet older Chinese couple who didn't speak much English and they gave out full sized candy bars and Reese's and M&M bags and other full sized candy. They were one of the favorite stops for everyone in my neighborhood.

Really only know what I liked as a kid and asides from things that were holloween themed. Some of my favorite candies to get was cosmic brownies, almond joys, reeses cups (pumpkin shaped),3 musketeers, cookies and cream hershey bars, crunchstars, and crunch bars. Those beans where half were bad flavored were fun. I personally loved sour candy and hated non sour equivalents. Always a disappointment to get gummy worms instead of sour gummy worms or gummy bears instead of sour patch kids. I remember a couple houses giving out hot chocolate packets or popcorn bags. Lolipops were boring but ringpops were fun.

My policy is that if you roll up in a car, dont have a costume, don't say trick or treat. You don't get candy. Simple as.

Btw if any anons are in Los Angeles there’s a candy distributor called Jack’s Candy that’s pretty cool to walk through. I believe they’re open to the public but I haven’t been there in many years so I’m not sure how good their prices are nowadays

>I’m planning to be THE house the kids are talking about this Halloween. You're going to answer the door naked? My grandma tried that years ago and ended up getting a non-trick-or-treat visit from the police.
