Worst food delivery experience?
>only ever get delivery when travelling for work
>wake up kind of sick one day
>decide to spoil myself and order lunch in for once
>find my go-to chain slophole
>load up my order
> $15 of extra fees and markup
>confirm my order and chill
>later: app says driver has the food
>10 minutes later see him still parked at the restaurant
>Starts moving finally. ETA: 10 minutes
>randomly stops in another neighborhood
>spends 5 minutes there before moving on
>makes another 2 stops for 15 minutes
>finally get a message that the food is delivered
>go to the door and get my food
>looks like he just threw the bag at my porch and drove off
>pick it up and take it in
>it's cold and soggy
>the restaurant didn't do any of my substitutions and forgot 1 item
>could only get refunded $2.50 for the missing item and nothing else
Who uses this shit

I was traveling and ended up bedridden in a hotel in Strasbourg, so I ordered a poke bowl and sat in the lobby waiting for it. The African negroid delivering it was too retarded to find the entrance to the hotel and kept going up and down the same street messaging me like he expected me to go out and find him. Then when he finally got there I took one bite and it tasted spoiled, so I just threw it out and went to sleep without eating anything.

Food delivery is a fake job that should not exist. Ridiculous fees, untimely delivery, infested with immigrants and other low class persons, and removes the necessary human connection between you and the person who cooked the food. Stop supporting bad behavior, and pick up your own food.

That image... WTF. First off, 'where is . i have' is some of the laziest shit I've ever seen. But to urinate on someone's bag of food? What the fuck? Was that the driver's last night on the job or something? There's no way you keep your job after that. Do we know more? Was this some kind of low/no tip retaliation piss?

I was so fucking drunk and scared, i knew i just had to act cool. took the pizza and said thanks. gave him a decent "dont kill me" tip. never ordered from that store again.

I know more than one person who lives off doordash, using it a least once a day. And it's not like they can afford it. They're always crying about finances and living paycheck to paycheck.

One time my food was being delivered by some fag on a bike. He took fucking forever to show up and when he did he was shaking and practically crying because some guy almost hit him with his car. He was exactly as you imagine him to be. Also the food was stone cold.Beyond that it's just shit being wrong and getting nothing back for it. I hate these apps, it's my wife who orders with them. If I'm too lazy to cook I could at least pick the shit up myself.

>3-4 years ago
>get pizza delivery
>pizza shop doesn't have drivers
>outsources to doordash
>get a phone call
>some thirdie that doesn't speak english
>i have pizza
>i say what?
>i have pizza come out
>i say "you're the delivery guy?"
>yes come out
>think the guy is probably paralyzed and can't get out of his car or something
>go to his car
>reaches over to the back seat
>he turns the entire bag vertical, pulls it out, and hands it to me
>say "dude that's not how you pull the pizza out of the bag."
>he looks at me like a retard
>say never mind take the pizza and leave
>obviously i don't give him a tip
>open the pizza box, maybe it's not that bad
>pizza is half collapsed, cheese and toppings fallen off even more
>call pizza shop
>tell them 2/3 the pizza is basically ruined
>they apologize and send the poor girl who took the complaint on the phone to drive it personally
>she says that this is happening often with doordash
>give her the tip cuz she didn't ask for a thirdie to be assigned to her shop

Hey. Morons.
Food delivery used to be a heavily regulated job that required special insurance and a full background check and was staffed with people making a decent living.
Then Uber came around. Not satisfied with sidestepping every taxi regulation in existence, they also decided to the same with delivery. All delivery. Basically all the last-mile infrastructure that isn't USPS or international shipping companies has been replaced with Uber and Spark and other such repurposed rideshare apps.Turns out flouting regulation in a race to the bottom is bad for the consumer, who'd have thought?

I haven't had any food delivered in about 30 years.the closest thing I can think of was someone in my neighborhood put the wrong address on their account and their pizza kept coming to our house. it took about 3 times before they figured it out.

if you have a car and can drive, there is literally no excuse to just order online and go pick it up yourself other than being a lazy piece of shit. it's a waste of money and the quality of service is always bad, food is almost never fresh and customizations are almost never done, and on top of that you're paying close to 2x more compared to just take out. I haven't used door dash in almost 10 years, and only time I ever do delivery now is when I'm sloshed late at night and get dominos delivered since I don't want to drunk cook, the place closest to me still does their own delivery and doesn't contract it out to doordash or ubereats

Doordash is the ultimate sign of retardation above all the other signs of retardation.
Not only is fast food already a combination of low quality, overpriced, slow, and unenjoyable, but some people specifically want it to cost much more and arrive colder and after 5 stops. Lmao.

I've been unemployed for a bit and I've been considering Dashing or one of the other apps. Is it worth it for a short period or will I want to kill myself day one?
