What's your honest and actual thoughts on blackberries? I scratched my leg up and destroyed a shirt to get these. About 700g

I really like them but I couldn't figure out what to do. Them I simply put them with a cup of water in a pot with some sugar (about 50g) and boiled, let it reduce

Until I got this sticky goodness and I'll have it all by myself. If I had a waffle iron I would have waffles but I think It'll have to be pancakes. If tomorrow I'm too lazy to fry up somw pancakes I'll just eat it with some yogurt

How are the seeds if you just eat them plain? I really like the flavor of raspberries and blackberries but the seeds are annoying to chew and often get stuck in my teeth.

Just get some thornless varieties and grow your own. It's considered a weed for a reason. Learned that less when I accidentally let a thorned variety out of containment and had to fight it for three years. They spread a foot underground the same way other weeds do on the surface.

I understand, OP. Every summer there are miles of blackberry bushes but I get greedy and reach or even climb in for the huge perfect ones that aren't easy grabbing. I just can't resist.
That's not much of a haul. I get buckets. But they look nice and I think are worth the shirt and scratches. Soak them in water and you'll see bugs coming out. Or just freeze them, but I don't like knowing I'm eating bugs.

When fresh I much prefer the ones that aren't ripe yet. I do love to make a lemon-blackberry compote with them for pancakes though.

i lived as a kid in the midwest and would always be out playing in the woods or some shit, It was always a special treat to come across one of these plants. eating them was fucking awesome, i actually kinda liked the more unripe redish ones, super sour.

As someone who sweats profusely, I absolutely cannot stand eating blackberries. The seeds all get stuck in my teeth and I prefer not to need to carry my toothbrush and dental floss around.

I know a sekrit spot where they grow wild, some are good, some are bad (I guess the ones with the bugs). I devour them on the spot like an animal, free from the yoke of society.

I love them but not as much as raspberries or cherries.
Blackberry jam is one of best though, right behind cherry but ahead of raspberry or grape.

My thought is they're extremely invasive and annoying. Free little snacks while chopping them down though
