I call them Cicer, which was the latin name for them. They gave their name to the noted jurist Cicero, apparently he got that nickname as a child because his ears looked like Cicer. Romans didn't pussy around with their nicknames, Gaius Julius "Caesar" got the nickname "Caesar" (means "hairy" in latin) because he went pretty much bald at a young age.
