I agree with vegan criticisms of factory farming industrialized animal agriculture. Industrialized dairy is pretty fucked up. Cows are artificially inseminated every year and then their calves are stolen away and killed, which is depressing since cows are nurturing mothers normally. However one criticism I can't get behind is the idea that milk is "gross." I think this is ineffective, most people, at least in the West, don't find milk gross at all. Even lactose intolerant people don't tend to hate milk. After all, it's literally a natural product produced by mammals for their young. You can criticize adults for drinking unethically sourced milk, sure, but no one actually thinks milk is inherently disgusting. Milk has been associated with fertility, birth and life for thousands of years, playing a huge role in myth, religion and folklore all over the world. Calling it "cow secretions" or "pus juice" won't change that.
