Went to a little pizza-by-the-slice kiosk in a tourist trap museum building. They offered all kinds of slices. I got standard pepperoni but my friend ordered "the works". And they only had cheese and pepperoni precooked pizzas to work from, so they threw thick sliced raw mushrooms, onions, peppers, and sausage balls on his and threw them both in the oven. Mine's perfect, but his is like a warmed-through slice of pepperoni with a bunch of half cooked, still raw and crunchy shit on top. He was so disappointed and just dumped it all off and ate it with only the pepperoni, which wasn't crisp or hot because it was covered with cold veggies.
Place didn't stay open very long. That is not the way to do by the slice. It's astounding how many places are operating out there that either don't know what they're doing, don't have any pride in their food, or both.
