Lay's has always been terrible except when they introduced the KC Masterpiece BBQ chips. Those were ok. For me its Cape Cod, Utz, or Kettle Chips.

stop using palm oil. stop doing stupid flavors with celebrities. get rid of everything except regular baked lays, kettle cooked salt and vinegar, doritos nacho cheese, cool ranch, and the tangy ketchup, ruffles all dressed, and the fritos family sized scoops. stop making literally all of your dips, they are disgusting. fix them so they don't taste like shit anymore. accept that you'll never be as good as utz but at least corner the market that no one else is occupying. i don't think anyone unironically buys lays anymore and people are becoming aware of doritos tasting terrible

If we're really talking lays micro changes, I noticed the last bag of Flamin' Hot had easily half, or less, of the normal expected amount of seasoning (and thus, heat). They are no longer worthy of the "flamin' hot" flavor name.It's possible I got a bad batch, but i dunno. I bought 4 different flavors (original, sour cream and onion, BBQ, and flamin hot) and the other 3 were all better than the flamin' hot, when normally i devour the hot ones firstI like to crunch up the chips and use them as a coating on things like turkey breasts, chicken breasts, pork, as an alternative to breadcrumbs or panko. It's awesome and really delicious and sometimes allows you to make use of those crumbs in a bag that you'd otherwise eat like a heathen or throw away

If they're announcing it publicly they must be "improving" them. In this bullshit time of RFK Jr. spreading disinfo about vaccines on one day and announcing fries are better cooked in animal fat on another. He's right about the fries; the other shit he thinks and says is reprehensible and dangerous.
Lays and any of those big companies could go back to their roots at any time and make products that are less than five ingredients. But that's not as cost effective. However, seeing as everything is so expensive already, they can afford it.
