What would a democrat sweep mean for the stock market? It has been pumping well so far under Republican control. Are we going to go into a bear market after elections?

The market has been pumping since 2023 solely because of AI. Once the chickens come home to roost from the ridiculous government you have now, who are seemingly disassembling all remaining American advantages as quickly as they can - you are fucked. The world is fucked, then, China (note: led by the tactically minded, not complete retards) will naturally take their place at the top. I don't love China, just my opinions based on what I see. The US is pissing off trading partners, joining in Israel's wars against their interests, arguing over the fucking puddle you have in the Capitol. And then there's China: starting to dominate global car markets, now a place of innovation, not just manufacturing, and recently held those humanoid Olympics. Which horse would you back long-term? The AI gods in America are only starting to talk about regulation because they're running out of steam and not sure where to turn - they want to regulate China from overtaking them, as I see it. The market as a whole has so much in them not only gaining ground, but MAKING MONEY, something nobody is doing right now.

Why would anyone use Kalshi over Polymarket? You literally have to provide so much information just to be allowed to use it. Such a glowie ass platform. An ID would be already too much, but these subhumans want to know your ADDRESS?!

It means that the primary mechanism to lower long dated yields will be lost - government able to talk big and then apply widespread spending cuts. The inability to do this essentially ensures a global sovereign debt crisis starting in the US and then happening across the world.

probably going to bet on a republican sweep even though they are worthless faggots and trump is a huge disappointment lately. I feel like this "dems are going to win the midterms" shit lately is astroturfed BS. they are actually less favorable now than ever among all voters and haven't proposed they will do literally anything different or better, its just "we arent Republicans!", which i dont think is going to work anymore after the 2008-2024 era

There's usually a small pump after elections regardless of outcome. Probably a pump for a few days then back down by the end of the month, followed by intense crabbing.

There is basically 0% chance they take the Senate. That is pure Kalshi/Poly delusion. And they've been incredibly wrong this primary season so no need to pretend these are sharp markets. The polling is usually terrible around late summer and it's fueling a lot of this. Look at history and it usually heavily overrates Dems in battleground states. They're expecting a miracle 20% of the population that didn't vote in 2024 to come out and flip the margins. They want us to believe that Dems are playing defense in MI and NH, but also TX and IA are on the table. Not possible. There is no such thing as a Reagan era swing voter anymore, everyone is firmly on their team and their camp.I'm putting like $20k on TX and IA to go red because they're basically selling dollars for 55 cents. It's as insane as saying NY is a coin flip too.

I think even if Dems end up winning 57 Senate seats, they'll still be short of convicting Trump.
