I'm really bad at shooting rifles and shotguns because I'm right hand dominant but my right eye doesn't work. Have to hold them "backwards" (opposite side). Excellent shot with handguns though. Thank you for reading my blog and yes things are absolute shit everywhere it's a wonder this house of cards hasn't collapsed it's been simultaneously on fire and underwater for years. I feel the opposite, i'm so optimistic about the future - and not in a glass-half-full way, there is an overwhelming number of things that is going our way. Just to list a few of the main ones: 1) Politicians are becoming more sensible when it comes to mass migration. All major parties in Europe has moved significantly to the right when it comes to migration. 2) EV's and solar energy is becoming so good/cheap, that the whole climate change thing will basically solve itself. Batteries are also becoming a lot better, which will further increase the value of renewable energy. Which will also help Europe to become more energy independent. 3) The way things are shaping out with AI, it looks like we are not gonna get a skynet controlled by a few people. The trajectory we are on are one of open source, decentralized AI, where you own the AI you use. Your robot maid won't "live in the cloud", but in the hardware inside of it, or in your basement. 4) AI will start to show up in GDP growth, if you have any kind of money, this is one of these rare opportunities to make real money. The global economy is about to grow a lot, and the returns on capital invested will be insane. 5) This cute girl from work.. 6) I don't see China as belligerent at all, which create a very stable geopolitical situation, where you basically don't have any major countries in conflict with one another. You really have to "attack" China in order for a major war to break out. 7) In addition to AI, then we have reusable rockets (SpaceX), quantum computers, real progress in medicine (mRNA based cancer treatments, GLP1 also seems like a wunderdrug, etc.). I recall Peter Thiel once said we had no progress in the material world, only in bits. Now it looks and feels like this is changing, real physical progress.

if you're not a doomdays prepper by this point youre an idiot and possibly legitimately retarded. theres no reason not to have everything you need to be self sufficient, food, water, learn to use a gun, learn to fix your own stuff and do withoutthere is no question that major economic upheaval in the form of persistent double digit inflation for daily life is now here to stay. the question is how fast that collapses the economy for the bottom 80%. you're doing ok if you're making 200k a year today. you're not doing ok if you're making 75k, and that number is going to continue to rise dramatically faster than wages, because its all by design to funnel the final bits of wealth to the top. then add in AI and those 200k jobs are starting to fade out of existence.
