Anonymous09/15/26, 17:05No.62692844Is it wise to tell your boss and coworkers you’re rich after you make it?
I mean in the context of putting in your 2 weeks notice when they ask why you’re quitting.

Something you have to keep in mind in the US is that your employer has your social security number on file, and if you give any indication that you're rich now, you're essentially betting that nobody is going to try to find it and steal your identity, and that they won't be successful if they do try. Even if you're in another country, I'm sure they keep enough info on file for you that someone could steal your identity with it if they wanted to. Don't volunteer information and trust nobody.

>Is it wise to tell your boss and coworkers you’re rich after you make it?Coworkers know were you live and you don't REALLY know them... they could be thieves. You just told a thief that you got money.

Telling anybody at your job why you have decided to put in your two weeks and simply walk away is gay.Not giving them a reason is the entire point. You just tell them you have decided its time to move on and do it.

One of my co-worker since he liked me so much, told me he had millions already in the bank. I'm going to tell him, what I'm going to tell you, a random stranger. Do not, under any circumstances, tell anyone that you have money in the bank. People are fucking retarded, they are jealous, mean, and will do whatever they can to get ahead at your expense or will get some twisted pleasure from seeing your demise.Matter fact, telling them is a form of fawning the ego, which has to be kept in check. You gain nothing from telling your co-worker this and can even land you with negative results.

I remember a cleaning lady that showed office workers her net worth and they were fuming because it mogged theirs and all roasties became hostile to her. Just don't say anything, people will make your last 2 weeks miserable

I thought about the same question, and you have to understand a few basics
>If people can fuck you over, they WILL find a way
>Especially if you give them more incentive to (having money)If you give in your 2 weeks, say you're thinking life over and wanna do a sabbatical. If people keep asking you why you never found a job after that, just say you enjoy the new lifestyle or some shit. If They ask where money is coming from, say you're coming just by with your savings and living frugally

I told my boss and coworkers that I'm taking a one year sabbatical away from work. My boss believed it but my close coworkers know I'm loaded from how often I sperg out about investing. And they know damn well I'm never coming back to work. It's been 15 months since I quit.

The only people who needs to know are the taxman, your bank, and your wife if you have one. It's not in your interest for anyone else to know the specifics of your finances. You're just painting a large target on your back

Of course not, they’ll probably think you’re about to quit and start looking for a replacement. When I told my coworker (who spent all his time watching me cry over charts and betting my paycheck on flip.gg cuz he was no fucking life) that son of a bitch not only congratulated me but also told my supervisor that I’d found a better job
and that completely ruined the satisfaction of quitting because two days later they fired me
I hate you, Walter

Don't say a fucking word about becoming independently wealthy or whatever.
Keep it vague. You got some personal shit to deal with. Some family bullshit. Even imply you got a better job offer in a new field or some shit.
Don't let coworkers or employers or anyone know you've got money.
Except me. We should totally go into business together. I've got this amazing idea that just needs a little capital.

Why says anything? If they ask why you're quitting just say you don't want to work in this industry anymore? They can't stop you from leaving. If people notice you have money just say you sold a solution to some AI startup or whatever. Never, ever say you won "easy" money.
