What I don't get about "margin" and "leverage" is if it's the most amazing way to lose money very fast, that money has to go somewhere.
How do I be that somewhere?

decentralized perps platforms rely on liquidity providers for margin traders. when the trader is liquidated, most of the money goes to the liquidity providers. of course, when someone actually wins a trade, they take their winnings from the liquidity provider

for a regular person? selling over priced calls to gamblers is probably the best you can do.

trading is the most player versus player game there is. it only works because another party is holding a position with the opposite direction.
