I got a black eye, and everybody is trying to make it their business. My bf got me, he's clumsy so it wasn't the first time we had an accident that hurt me, I'd rather just brush it under the rug and forget about it but he's big and scary to a lot of people so everybody's just jumping on the "she's being abused!" wagon.
I try to tell them I'm not being abused and they keep suggesting stuff like talking to a therapist or staying with someone else for a few days like they think I wouldn't know if I was being routinely beaten.
I'm tough, like I grew up with 3 brothers and I can take care of myself. It really gets under my skin how everybody's treating me while this heals. They didn't listen when I said it was just an accident. What can I say to get them off my back?
Pic is just a turtle I saw some guy walking down the street when I was out drinking with my cousin.

Just make a Fight Club joke and don't relent.
Or "wouldn't it be funny if I told you it was X?" and just make their mom your boss.

my shitty idea would be to give him a nastier bruise every time he gives you a bruise

I would not say that is just a turtle. Yeah, sucks. My wife s always falling. She has broken bones, black eyes, lost teeth. I am big and scary and alienated from everyone who thinks I kick her ass. Nobody’s ever said anything to me. Enjoy the attention.

I've seen that turtle when I've been on River Street in Savannah, is that out in front of Boomy's bar?

I get how you feel I burned myself pretty badly a couple years ago and had to wear an eye patch for several days, had weird red marks on my neck. The way people looked at me was...troubling. And I had accidentally started the fire myself so explaining was embarrassing.
If people won't believe your words there's not much you can do about it other than not trust those people. They think you're a lying victim and they know better than you do what you need, ironically more dangerous to be around than a boyfriend who doesn't have a good grasp on his reach or strength.
