Told myself I would only look at my phone, PC or any other devices if it's only absolutely necessary. Ended up staying on my phone for 4 hours throughout the night. How tf do you break this addiction? Also I have ADHD by I'm the silent type so in reality ADD even though the term isn't used anymore. It's also very hard for me to stay focused on one thing unless I'm deep into a task.

If you can't stick to rules don't make 'em.

Monochrome black-and-white color filters
Parental blocks on self
Adjusting/starting a prescription
Get some deep focus outdoor hobbies that require your full attention like drawing or racing or shooting. Then leave your phone somewhere else while you do it.

>wants to stop addiction
>refuses to replace it with something else
>confused when they can't just magically stopDo most people not think for more than 30 seconds? You had this idea to stop, yet you didn't put any actual brain power in to the idea other than "hurrrrr durrr i wanna stop screen time"

I've got a solution, any time you're on your phone when you shouldn't be, you send me a photo of your gaping asshole, that'll solve your addiction real quick

a friend of mine got a watch, so he doesnt look on his phone as much to see the time.generally might be a good idea, if you are addicted to something. make it harder to get to it or just remove it entirely. you might be better off without a smart phone. i recently didnt use instagram for a month, turns out, i did not miss a single thing.

Your phone isn't the problem it's what you're doing on your phone. What are you doing on your phone? Scrolling tiktok? Instagram? Porn? Then delete that and set blocks for starters. Even if you can remember to set a timer to wake you up out of it and remind you you're not supposed to be doing it can help.
