stupid post but how do people even start dating? firstly, im straight and i go to an all girls school. and what happens when i go to college? i feel like its pretty unrealistic for someone to just come up to a random after some lecture and ask for a contact... i also dont do anything online or go out in general other than w friends. am i cooked? will i be a single loser forever?

Either people already know each other and start dating through friends, friends of friends and acquaintances or it's all cold approaching. There's also dating apps.

As a woman if you approach a guy and ask him out your chances are probably not that bad.

First off get off 4chan because it just feeds into all the insecurities you have.Second of all, once you go to university/a workplace, you will meet men and it will be easy to find someone you want to date. If you spend enough quality time with a man and ask him out, it’s likely to work out.Since you seem inexperienced with interacting with men, I will add more to this in case your parents haven’t taught you. Be cautious of people pressuring you/forcing you to do things you don’t want to do. Don’t put yourself into vulnerable situations (i.e. a man invites you to a party at his house and you don’t know for sure you won’t be the only woman there). Don’t take a man’s compliments to heart, as they often will be disingenuous to sleep with you. If someone gets too close to you too quickly, assume that they want something from you and keep your distance. Someone who has ulterior motives will move on to an easier target.You will find someone, don’t worry about it.

If you’re not fat, at least a handful of guys will be interested in you.The next step is to let them know you are interested in dating. There should be plenty of clubs that you can join in college where you are with many other people and enjoying some activity together. As you get to know guys better, some of them will approach you.
