My childhood friend has opened up a pizzeria near my home. We're not particularly close friends these days, but we're on good terms.
I feel morally obligated to get a pizza at this place at least once a week, in order to support his budding business. But while his pizzas are not terrible, they're not great, either. I often find myself struggling to get a pizza there, even though I don't want one.
How do I deal with this?

tell him how to make the pizza better or stop going
say your doctor told you you can't have pizza anymore die to heart issues or some bullshit if you're too pussy to just not go anymore

You did your duty by buying there once. Just stop going. If you ever run into him you can say "I've gone off pizzas for a while"
