Why do people think Aizen didn't attain bankai when he explicitly talked about how he's reached the limit at all paths for a shinigami? Even if you wanna believe that he's only shown a fake bankai during the captain test as he also faked what his shikai can do, Aizen has shown that he can activate his shikai without the release command as shown in Barragen's flashback which proves he does have a bankai.

I can now confidently say that all that talk about Kubo fumbling the ending of the manga due to being rushed by deadlines is nothing but pure cope. Here he is, with full creative freedom and an entire anime production team at his disposal, and he somehow managed to not fix a single notable issue that the manga had, but create like 10 more with his new added content.You thought the way he handled Ichigo vs Yhwach was bad in the manga? Well, how about we expand the fight with Ichigo revealing his true Bankai (the single goofiest looking Ichigo design in my opinion) and actually having a prolonged fight with Yhwach which he ultimately loses without accomplishing anything, only to then reveal that it wasn't his actual true Bankai, which he reveals after Yhwach has already regained the Almighty, only for it to get broken in the exact same way it did in the manga? How does that work, why does Ichigo have another stronger Bankai on top of his previous one which was already called his ultimate form? I'm sure Kubo will explain it in Club Outside #9999. Why didn't Ichigo just immediately use that stronger Bankai after he got skewered and beheaded by Yhwach countless times along with Orihime, and only survived thanks to Orihime's powers? I think it'd be an understatement to call Ichigo mentally challenged if he still decided to hold back under those circumstances, and I don't want to hear a single headcanon excuse from Bleach glazers trying to justify it.(1)

Quick reminder: even though Yhwach annihilates him in combat, the fact that Yhwach saw that the only future in which he wins is when Kyouka Suigetsu is disabled, to the point where Yhwach even permits his own death to occur for that future to materialize, is one of the craziest feats in the series. The only characters capable of engaging Yhwach in solo combat are Uryu (thanks to the anime making Antithesis ridiculous, being able to unswap futures is wild) and Aizen. Ichigo cannot contest Yhwach without help (which is the point of the whole arc).
