I don't really have a favorite part. It was just the perfect way to end the series (I raged about it for years because it was too DEEP for me) but now I just sit back and try to just absorb the whole thing. I honestly enjoyed the live action segment, it was simple, somber and connected the material with real world implications. Also it had the gang-signs dude.Another plus was how it opened with Asuka and Shinji in a bright white/blue hospital room, and Shinji basically molests Asuka then it ends on a black/red beach and Shinji basically tries to murder Asuka. I always thought there was some symbolism there as if the movie begins in heaven(Remember the Japanese term for having an orgasm is literally 'going off to heaven') and then it ends in hell.Also, fuck haters. Tiffany Grant was a good Asuka. It's also the only role I really liked her in...No I take that back. Martel was really cool.

Kaworu is way, WAY important in End of Evangelion in a way you're not quite sure he's supposed to be if you're coming to it just from watching the show. You really can tell that Kaworu kind of eats up the minds of Anno, Ikuhara, and the rest of the production staff from Episode 24 onwards. It feels a bit incongruous, like it doesn't quite fit with what's come before in the story.Eva's kind of a beautiful mess.
