What I never understood about the show is who was the laughing man? like was it that kid? Is that kid even real? Or was it that dude who tricked them with the sex doll but got shot in the eye in the apartment? I feel like I understood it a little more than when I first read the manga, but a lot of that understanding also comes from a ton of non-manga sources (mostly the SAC Solid State movie) at least for the major's motivations for doing the fusion dance.

Well if this is it, I have to say that this is a soild 8.5/10 anime A great way to show the original GITS as it always was and a great companion piece to SAC and the movie. I definitely had a lot of fun watching this.
