simple answer, toxic sport attracts toxic people. you dont see this shit in judo because you have to behave yourself outside of judo as you are a representative of the school at all times.
In bjj they'd just tell you "that's how people are" if you talk back to someone.
There is no barrier of entry and titles are handed out like candy almost every school has a "world champion" . there are so many world champions in bjj the title has 0 meaning in the art

The guy is an asshole. He is sat in a bar watching an mma fight on TV and a guy also watching says something to him, which he ignores and writes 'wasn't even talking to this guy' on thr screen and then says how that guys opinion was stupid because he isn't a le trained fighter.

like half of the people that are serious about bjj got bullied so hard in highschool that they think about it before every training session. bjj guys will roll up 7 dudes deep and hang out at bars sober to start shit with people. theres lots of pathetic people like that in bjj.
