I'd like shoot boxing a lot more if the clinches didn't get reset, and the match straight-up ended when someone fell.

>"For a beginner in Muay Thai, start with a less frequent training schedule, such as 1-2 times a week, to let your body adjust to the intense workouts. As you become accustomed to the physical demands, you can gradually increase the frequency to 3-5 times a week to see faster improvement and potentially compete"Is this true or should one be training the most when just starting out to build muscle memory?

Hey, fatty fat fat here, I took my first class today, couple questions. >1. my coach said I get the best bang for my buck if I order proper muay thai boxing gloves with pinky protection from the head coach, they sell for about twice of what the cheapest pair of Outshock boxing gloves cost in Sports Direct, scam or deal? >2. What the hell am I supposed to do when someone advances on me and keeps a combo up in sparring? >3. I did a tiny bit of boxing and I noticed the guys never defend body jabs and they have trouble defending jabs in general, specifically square down the middle, am I onto something or am I being retarded here and unkowingly exposing myself for a knee or something when I change level and do a body jab?

So I almost signed up to the MT/ kickboxing gym but then It made me download some app and then all of a sudden the membership prices are mysteriously higher in the app, and some of the classes advertised on their website no longer exists on the app so I thought fuck that..Did I dodge a bullet? Seems like a dishonest practice

Just did kicks on the heavy bag for the first timeEven though I aimed to hit with my shin, my foot caught the bag a few times, and now my toes and foot are bruisedI can stand and walk on them, but it stings if I move them around. Is this normal? will my feet toughen up over time? Wait until the bruises have gone or train through it?

Been training for 3 months as a total beginner, boxing is so much fun guys. Sure it hurts taking punch to the head, but you know, that's part of the reason why it is so fun. I have also enrolled in the next 6 months learning kickboxing.

Thoughts on the Pi Java? I was watching ONE and kinda missed the music, it gives the fights an exotic and kind of ugly feeling, like you're watching something you shouldnt be allowed to see.

Time flies, I finished my 3 months boxing training. Still completely shit at sparring, of course, but it is a huge achievement for a quick quitter like me. I can't believe that I have never skipped a session due to laziness during this time. Maybe we're all gonna make it bros. Started kickboxing the other day, both my legs are fucked. But it feels good, on the inside.

I'm trying to find some and either nobody made videos or I'm lacking the excact words to land results on advanced search

For those of you who train often, do you almost always have some degree of pain in the lower leg and just power through it? I am starting to train 6 days a week and I can really feel the load it puts on my shins, calves and ankles. The lower part of my leg becomes a bit numb after training and has a constant, tiny bit of pain. Feels fine when I train and there is some blood flow, but a little annoying/painful after training. Is this to be expected or am I at the brink of getting injured?

Should/do leg kicks hurt in sparring? Teeps, jabs, crosses and often mid-kicks create a clear effect as the other person stops moving forward as aggressively. However with leg kicks I seem to be able to do a ton of them, with fairly good power and sometimes fully loaded up at the end of a combination. But after asking my sparring partner they don't think it produced any real pain/discomfort, unlike jabs, knees, mid-kicks etc. I have been training for 1.5+ years and I myself only recall feeling a leg kick that caused genuine pain during the first months training.Does the conditioning and extra padding just mean that you shouldn't expect leg kicks to do anything in sparring? Or am I doing something wrong?

There's people like Liam Harrison or Gabriel Vargas who are world class with online training plans, but honestly I would just lift weights and work on cardio until you can get to a gym more often. Training alone will definitely give you bad habits, and it can take a very long time to unlearn (far longer than learning something new, neurological science supports this)

The Japs have always been pretty pragmatic. They actually liked boxing more before karate was introduced to the mainland from Okinawa. The kickboxers and MMA guys in Japan respect Muay Thai.
