I recently started kickboxing and jujitsu as a 29 year old dude. I remember seeing little bits of various dragonball shows when I was a little kid, but it never really grabbed me. I was a pencil knecked string bean when I went to highschool, but I got into lifting weights after watching the Dorian Yates Joe Rogan episode in college. I was a skinny stoner, but in the following years I became a strong and jacked stoner. My most impressive lifts I hit back then are a 435 conventional deadlift, 600lb trap bar deadlift, a 315 squat, and a 275 zercher deadlift. Life was pretty good, until my dad got cancer. He declined and passed away over the course of about a year and a half, and I inherited his mess of an estate. The probate is only just now wrapping up, about a year and a half after his deaf. Over the course of the last 3 years I got more and more depressed, and stopped lifting all together. I was probably about 22% bodyfat at my worst, and my hair thinned out. For some reason I watched all of Naruto, Shippuden, DBZ, and DBS, and it reignited something in me. Ive been going on morning runs 4-6 times a week, lifting weights 3-4 times a week, and I just added kickboxing twice a week and bjj once a week. Ive also been doing this on a 1000 calorie deficit a day, which has gotten my bf down to 16.3% as of tonight. Life is good dudes. I owe Dragonball and Toryiyama my life, and I feel like Im so late to the party to appreciate this mans legacy. I even go on long walks with a 40lb vest on the days I dont do combat sports.Train hard, study well, and eat and sleep plenty. This is the turtle hermit way. This is my gay little story. Gigabased thread.
