You really need to get past that, then, because at its core you'll find some striking similarities to the core ideas of Buddhism and Hinduism. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the original Kabbalists were heavily influenced by those ideas. The only thing that exists is God, and God is infinite irreducible union of totality and nothingness. If you can mentally grasp something in any way, it doesn't truly exist. Really what the tree of life and sefirot are is an attempt to map out the path of emanation from the core of the collective subconscious all the way to individual experience. You can effectively ignore all the magical and numerological stuff if you want, or you can explore it, and you absolutely do not need to engage with Talmudic Judaism or other types of doctrine. Though I do believe it's worth considering what Christ teaches and the nature of his relationship to the divine subconscious source. It's important to separate the planted seed from the corrupt institutions that grew from it.
