Humankind was given knowledge of agriculture, mathematics, etc. by skyfaring peoples and this is what allowed human civilization to develop. Contrary to popular belief, these more advanced peoples did not come from space, rather they came from the ocean right here on earth. Their appearance as being winged birdmen might be more symbolic than literal considering this, although they could have literally been man-bird hybrids that simply lived in the ocean. There was a period of time, long ago were they temporarily ruled as kings. This is were god-king myths derive from like Thoth ruling Egypt or Quetzalcoatl ruling over Tollan, etc. t. knower

The Sumerian heptad descended upon a mountain -- they didn't arrive from the ocean. Even Dagon the fish headed Mespotamian deity typically attributed as coming from the ocean did not. The Atlantis motif only works if they arrived to teach people through flying machines -- not ships from the sea.
