Nice to see this thread up again!Disclosure Day has a scene that has always intrigued me. in it after the bad guy has taken control of Jane's body he speaks about stopping Jane's boyfriend Daniel, as Jane declines from doing it the bad guy (Scanlon) proceeds to quote the bible in an interesting way:>Scanlon says: "O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." >Scanlon asks Jane: "what did Christ say next?" >Jane answers: "by my will, thine will be done."i find it interesting since christ never really continued his prayer at gethsemane with anything nor did he ever say what Jane replied with. i have been able to understand a lot of the more subtle messages in the movie but i still struggle to wrap my head around that one.i also tried googling that particular scene but nothing came up, usually movies of these caliber have high quality scenes uploaded to youtube immediately when they become available so i wonder why they are so hard to find with this one.

Doesn’t get more esoteric than the pre-Abrahamic origins of the damn thing…https://youtu.be/htixqnIHibQThe Anunnaki had been giving plagues to humanity, in an effort to lower their numbers. Enlil, in command of Earth, wielder of lightning bolts, was displeased with Humanity and wanted them gone. Enki, his brother, took pity on humans and secretly taught them to worship only 1 Anunnaki at a time, the one responsible for the current plague, to basically guilt trip them into stopping the plague. This works a few times before Enlil realises what Enki has done and punishes him by causing his power over the waters to flood the people. Enki teaches Ziusudra to build an ark. (This was turned into the Noah story, even down to releasing the birds from the ark and saving animals.)So, Enlil finally agreed to spare the rest of humanity afterwards, allowing disease, child deaths and religious celibacy to control their population numbers. However, Enlil had learned from his brother. He saw how easy the humans were to control when they all worshipped only 1 Anunnaki. He could punish Enki again for his betrayal, and take control of all the Earth, by doing the same. Enlil became Yahweh of Armies, a monotheistic storm-god ruler that declared himself above all other “gods”. Enki was turned into “satan” for giving humanity forbidden knowledge (forbidden fruit) Enlil and Enki. Zeus and Prometheus. Yahweh and Satan. Humans filled in the gaps but the theme remained. A lightning-wielding entity punished another entity for giving humans forbidden knowledge.

How do you usually do meditation, /ceg/?I try to pray the Rosary and do Lectio Divina every now and then. Sometimes I will also take pauses of silence when praying Vespers to reflect on the Psalms or Antiphons for a brief moment.Lectio Divina has been the most helpful for me. I also used to read the Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis for meditation, but haven't done so in a long time?

You guys get anything meaningful from the gnostic literature? I know it's always been considered evil or edgy full stop, but it feels like there's so many layers to it that there must be more to it than that, but looking at it positively just feels like wishful thinking.

A new translation of Origen's exposition of four types of prayer is coming. I watched the interview with the translator, linked in the article I posted below and I can say that the final part was pretty interesting, the translator says that he will maintain the plural pronoun "we" used by Origen because he thinks not (only) that the "we" represents Origen and his scribes but that it might have a more deeper meaning, then he says that he received criticism from other academics due to this idea, which seems to be the classic academic prejudice against any more esoteric interpretations of early patristic texts. https://www.pappaspatristicinstitute.com/post/origen-on-prayer-a-new-translation-by-john-solheid

And you, my son, according to the pious rule of our Hierarchical tradition, listen religiously to things spoken religiously, becoming inspired through instruction in inspired things; and when you have enfolded the Divine things in the secret recesses of your mind, guard them closely from the profane multitude as being uniform, for it is not lawful, as the Oracles say, to cast to swine the immaculate, shining, and beautifying loveliness of intelligible pearls. The Dionysian CorpusMany things, I well know, have escaped us, through length of time, that have dropped away unwritten. Whence, to aid the weakness of my memory, and provide for myself a salutary help to my recollection in a systematic arrangement of chapters, I necessarily make use of this form. There are then some things of which we have no recollection; for the power that was in the blessed men was great... Some things I purposely omit, in the exercise of a wise selection, afraid to write what I guarded against speaking: not grudging—for that were wrong—but fearing for my readers, lest they should stumble by taking them in a wrong sense; and, as the proverb says, we should be found "reaching a sword to a child..." Some things my treatise will hint; on some it will linger; some it will merely mention. It will try to speak imperceptibly, to exhibit secretly, and to demonstrate silently... The 'Stromata' will contain the truth mixed up in the dogmas of philosophy, or rather covered over and hidden, as the edible part of the nut in the shell. For, in my opinion, it is fitting that the seeds of truth be kept for the husbandmen of faith, and no others.Clement of Alexandria, The Stromata

Since the whole endeavor of Christian Kabbalism originally started out as a (primarily) apologetic and even missionary effort, it is no wonder that already its earliest proponents were motivated by an intense desire to demonstrate how this central doctrine of the Christian revelation had already been “veiled” by Moses in the secret tradition that he had “received” ('kibel,' from which also the word 'kabbalah') on Mt. Sinai. As already Picus Mirandola–the father of all Christian Kabbalism–proclaimed in his 'Conclusiones Cabalisticae' ('secundum opinionem propriam,' V):>Every Hebrew Kabbalist, following the principles and sayings of the science of the Kabbala, is inevitably forced to concede, without addition, omission, or variation, precisely what the Catholic faith of Christians maintains concerning the Trinity and every divine Person, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Kabbalistic interpretation of the Trinity has thus a long tradition and ever since the time of Pico the most common way to demonstrate this dogma “secundum modum et principia cabalae” has been by associating the three supernal sefirot of the “Greater Face” to the three Most Blessed Persons of the Christian Trinity, so that still the Chevalier Drach (a 19th century Jewish scholar and convert to Catholicism) could write concerning the “Triple Crown” of 'Keter-Chockmah-Binah':>One would have to be blind not to see it, or quite obdurate not to want to admit it, that these three Glories are the most holy and indivisible Trinity of Persons in the unity of the Divine Essence. The Kabbalah proclaims this truth in the same words as the Catholic theology… [e.g. in the 'Zohar' where it says] ‘There are two with whom one unites, and they are three; and yet though they are three, they are only one’ ('La Cabale des Hébreux,' II.1, III.1).https://sensuscatholicus.substack.com/p/kabbalistic-mirrors-of-the-trinity

The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air.Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it.It began with the forging of the Great Staff and Two Tablets given to the Aye ngles, immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings who gifted them to the race of Men, who above all else desire power. For within these staff and tablets was bound the strength and the will to provide law for each race. The Moses of black took the blue crystal staff and the two blue crystal tablets into the desert....and the gunslingers followed.....And some things that should not have been forgotten were lost. History became legend. Legend became myth. And for two and a half thousand years, they passed out of all knowledge. Until, when chance came, it ensnared another questie-er.It came to the creature Nobody, who took it deep into the tunnels of the fortune. And there it consumed them. Darkness crept back into the forests of the world. Rumor grew of a shadow in the East, whispers of the end war, and the Staff and Tablets of Power perceived its time had come. It found nobody but then something happened that the Tabbies did not intend. It was found by the most unlikely creature imaginable: a complete Nobody, THE Nobody, of /x/.For the time will soon come when the faithful of /x/ will shape the....fortunes.....of all.

>the reality is not that feminine spirituality is missing from the Jewish and Christian tradition, but that it occupies a very special place there - a rather intimate, and esoteric one.I've thought about something like this recently. I used to be rather troubled by how obscure or even repressed the feminine aspects of God seem to be by mainstream Christians, and how defenses of Marian dogmas seem so convoluted when many of the attributes could be more easily asserted in reference to Sophia and the maternal Holy Spirit. But on the other hand, perhaps it's more appropriate for the masculine of God to want to preserve/protect the feminine aspects, like a man is supposed to protect and preserve woman. So Mary would sort of be like a distilled version of it in a sense, like not the feminine aspect of God herself but almost someone that stands in for it. Does anyone know what I mean? Has this line of thought ever been developed more in depth? It would make sense that God would only reveal that more tender, one might even say "sensual" aspect to his most devout followers?

Would the geometric shape of the foundational, fundamental point particle be the geometric shape of creation the Creator uses? The makers brush signature. What makes you feel more in tune with the universe and The Creator? Random infinite chaotic quantum soup foam slop? Or a defined measured quant of a geometry? Which is the curtain being drawn back and the wizard revealed? And which is but a step closer to the being able to handle the responsibility of the power this truth brings?

Wondering if someone could comment on this. I've been praying the Rosary, fifteen decades each day for a wife, and rather than a woman I've received a number of signal graces related to the institution of marriage. Here are the notions I've received.>The pleasure of coitus is a foretaste of the pleasure God has creating man >Coitus is how God may will man to participate in God's creation >The pain and joys a man may feel in regard to his children are reflections of the pains and joys God feels watching His creation >Man may create a man according to man's will, but if God wills a man to be made unto one keeping His will then He will make the man for the man subservient to His will.I've also wondered whether it's by the will of man or the will of God that one is born before baptism. A man can be born by the will of man, but if a man prays for a wife and offspring like I, does he place that authorship of life under the will of God? For me, it feels silly to pray for a marriage and its pleasures because if God wants someone to be born, specifically under my parenthood, then He'd do it. I am embarrassed to say that it took me 6 years to realize this. I've been Christian 6 years, a Catholic for 3 or 4, and it took me until I was 23 to figure out that God should make a person out of me when He desires. I still don't know how to feel about that. Sometimes, I'm tempted, feeling like the years for which the pleasures of the flesh are passing by when at any time they could be satisfied with a woman. But I fear hell and I fear God, and I sometimes wonder how long it'll take for a person to find others like myself. Even among Catholic circles I feel out of place because I fear going to Hell while others do not. If anyone is older than I, does it get better over time?

I've experienced a large amount of demonic oppression for 8 years. Also known as scizophrenia. At first I didn't understand and was very favourable to demons. A ghost demon sucked my cock saying "she liked a loopy boy" and in sleep paralysis I almost got raped by a demon with claws because I offered my ass to it, but it was going "Yes yes yes" while I was going "No noooo no" and thankfully I woke up.In another episode I was catatonic which was very traumatic, seeing literal bugs on the glasses I was drinking water from, all the while i only watched christian broadcasts. He called himself beezlebub from the bible lord of demons. and it wasnt fun. im on meds for life btw.but ive had this female demon since childhood who wasnt as bad since she didnt torture me but i was always a weirdo and spaced out due to it. anyway she decided to leave and i got the prince of demons himself at one point turning me catatonic.i don't think im demonically possessed at the moment but the damage has been done and i think about it everyday and worry about it happening again.

The powers that be are probably turning up the propaganda (Ellul style) manipulation to the max... Ukraine was the experiment, as "Eastern Orthodox" politicians, clergy, police, and judiciary are India tier corrupt anyway... Poland was the refinement, government change in an actually Christian country... and the final test was Hungary that was Poland, but with an European cultural past instead of a Slav one (at least until communism).Who knows what will happen now, "when the weather cools" to quote that modern Nostrafamus, in post-white countries with any economic power left (like Germany, France, Spain, UK).

I thinks today's Mass readings evokes what we really want here in /ceg/ >Jeremiah 20, 7-9 7 You seduced me,[d] Lord, and I let myself be seduced; you were too strong for me, and you prevailed. All day long I am an object of laughter; everyone mocks me. 8 Whenever I speak, I must cry out, violence and outrage I proclaim; The word of the Lord has brought me reproach and derision all day long. 9 I say I will not mention him, I will no longer speak in his name. But then it is as if fire is burning in my heart, imprisoned in my bones; I grow weary holding back, I cannot!

this is the closest this board will ever get to a christian thread in general, so i'll just ask for advice here. i'm a cradle catholic, but my family isn't exactly very pious. we used to go to church about once a month when i was younger, but over the years that number has decreased to zero. i have not stepped in a church since my confirmation in the catholic faith (about 5 years ago, had it when i was 15 years old, now i'm 20) which is rather ironic. i have been struggling with faith and nihilism over these years, but i decided to give the church another go, except i don't really know anything profound about catholicism, if i'm being honest. my catechesis was terrible and my family isn't very aware either, though they love pretending they're somehow morally superior to protestants lol. is there anything i can do to start? i'll probably start going to church again and praying the rosary daily to begin (even though to be completely honest its focus on mary never seemed right to me, but i'm willing to learn), but does anyone have other recommendations? books on catholic history and theology, specific prayer books to use, practices to pick up, anything. i'm scouring the internet for stuff adult converts would use as catechumen, but i figured i'd get more interesting responses and recommendations here. most stuff posted here is interesting but wayyy out of my league for now.

To the Romanian Orthodox anon who was messaging me on discord: Schmemann does NOT advocate for Protestant-style liturgical practices. He says that most of Orthodoxy today misunderstands the sacraments and symbolism in general because of the influence of Western Scholasticism reducing the liturgical activities of the church to a mere "consecratory formula" and taking symbolism as necessarily being "an illustration" of something "real," which implies the symbol is "not real." Filaret absorbed these assumptions in his Catechetical works BTW.

Best book of probably all time for an introduction to meditation would be The Ways of Mental Prayer, never read it tho as I took notes on everything St. Ignatius (S.J.) said on his guides, meditated on the Catecheism of Mental Prayer, and have followed almost everything that St. Benedicto said in his book for monks "The Way of Benedict".Here the document: https://limewire.com/d/aBc8G#rzTK1gfajG

I've been exploring Eastern Orthodoxy and have a few questions maybe some of you could answer. Why has there been so much talk about the Catholic Church and many different sects of Eastern Orthodoxy sharing communion and even reuniting? Aren't there too many theological, structural, and liturgical differences between them? For example the Catholics view on Purgatory, indulgences, restrictions on priests, views on filioque (the Holy Spirit proceeding from the Father and Son vs just the Father), views on sin and salvation, etc. just to name a select few. Both groups hold that someone outside their church and theology is not saved so how would they share communion if they're so different? How would they share communion with another church that is "heretical?" This also raises another question, could either church possibly share communion with a Protestant Church? Cyril I of Constantinople introduced some Protestant and Calvinist doctrines and ideas a few centuries ago? I've always viewed the major branches as follows:>Catholic church places the emphasis on MAN and his authority, ie. the Pope >Orthodoxy places emphasis on TRADITION and ancient practices >Protestants and their affiliates place emphasis on the SCRIPTURE >Mormons aren't ChristianThat isn't to say that the emphasis is on those qualities alone, just that those are considered their ultimate authorities. Proponents of all three each argue they're descended from the early church fathers and their practices however haven't they all deviated in some way? And if this is the case which would be considered the "true" church? How could they be reconciled? And on a side note I am of Bulgarian descent but there is no Bulgarian Orthodox Church in my area, how would I go about selecting or choosing which to attend?

anybody who draws caricatures or builds buildings in order to bother people (incl. commie blocks for European man) are not and cannot ever be a Christian; the same goes for those who say "music is a weapon" and their slaves produce rap etc.>As everything in the world originates from either [the Lord or Satan], the selflessness of certain men with respect to evil is as understandable as the selflessness of others with respect to good. To pursue evil merely for profit, self-interest, and the satisfaction of the flesh is only a weakness of the flesh. With a few exceptions, we all fall into this category. But while this applies to the masses, it does not apply to their genuine spiritual leaders, who do not guide the sweeping historical offensive of evil for profit, weakness of the flesh, or self-interest. Rather, they do so out of love: specifically for that negative love which is the hatred of all that stems from God. >A Satanic current parallel to the Christian one flows through history. It does so just as selflessly, waging its perpetual battle against Christianity. >This mysterious and deep hatred is essentially different and superior to the various other forms of hatred we find in history. The latter are often fierce and shameful, but always driven by strictly human motives such as envy, pride, rancour, and vengeance. They never possess the sort of permanent character that leads one to constantly focus on the same object for no apparent reason - for Christ himself stated: ‘They hate me for no reason.’ Precisely because they concern specific things - tangible causes commensurate to given effects - normal forms of hatred do not possess the frightening character of a stream of primitive fury that inevitably brings demonic possession to mind. As Christ put it: ‘This is your time - the time when darkness rules.’ >Hatred of this sort lies beyond all reason and is quite imponderable. It corresponds to a mysterious crisis affecting not the body, but the soul.

Neither hesychasm nor the study of the Desert Fathers are esoteric. They're both mainstream parts of ordinary practice.

You need to read this post:https://reddit.com/r/Retconned/s/O5lcXNY7ON >TLDR:>This planet is Bozrah, not Earth. What's more, you should definitely be warning people about the upcoming "day of vengeance" here on Bozrah. Keep in mind that the 1,000-year Millennial Kingdom will take place on Earth, not on Bozrah. This planet will be destroyed (and Jesus will be the destroyer). It has no future.>Bozrah is basically a replica of Earth. People who have lived here their entire lives NEED to realize—once and for all—that this celestial body was never Earth, and it never will be. It's an impostor planet. And if you have an issue with that, take it up with God, not me. I just speak the truth (nothing more, nothing less).>Bozrah's human anatomy is distinct enough from Earth's human anatomy that the differences allow me to know, with 100 percent certainty, that this is a different planet. Not 99.99 percent certainty, but literally 100.00 percent certainty. On top of all of that, the speed of time here is a blazing 50 percent faster compared to Earth! Yes, you read that correctly: fifty percent faster (as in 1.5x speed, and thus a day on this planet is only 16 Earth hours long). So, forget about all of the anatomical differences for just a moment. The time difference ALONE allows me to know, with 100 percent certainty, that this is a different planet. Now, ask yourself the following question: Is God not watching each and every person who tries to debunk these differences?>You, the Bozrah native, are the one who has been deceived. Not me. God didn't send me to the other side of the Milky Way Galaxy just for you to tell me that I have been deceived. You are the one who was born on an impostor planet. Not me.>Update: In June 2026, a Reddit admin deleted my main Bozrah post! It had been up for over four years and was last edited in May 2025. It now exists as an X article. The redpill post will take you to my pinned X thread, which will then take you to the article.

Why is it that no one, not even God Himself, respects my free will? Seriously, my life has been torment because the free will of those who hurt me get their way over the free will of me who wants to follow the Holy Spirit.

Are there any American, Christian-adjacent, mystics or at least occultists (outside established churches)? I knew of Pascal Beverly Randolph & Paul Foster Case, and found out about Johann Georg Hohman via Google. Do you know of any others? Considering how large, free, and active America was at that time (1750-1950), three is a shockingly small number. Thanks and peace to you all
