While its not a literal all torture all the time hell its mostly suffering with the grim reality that life must consume other life to survive and also fight each other for scarce resources and with no memory of past incarnations how does one learn?

Reincarnation to me is a sign of failure, you didn't get it and had to come back. The idea is to become someone that doesn't want to. To create such a strong sense of self that you aren't willing to part with them. To be so filled with desires and dreams that you have things to do. Things to learn and places to see. To realize there's so much more then this place and so much more for you to see.Ignore reincarnation and its possible effects on the current you. If your past selves were so important you'd remember them. Or they're already embedded into you in a way you're not aware of so don't worry about them. Focus on maximizing yourself here and now. You don't need to do much beyond just thinking about who you and and want to be. Meditate and reflect on the nature of what you are. Not so much the personality you, but the true feeling of self. Your energy, your soul. Once aware of it, all of existence can be yours. Unfortunately the best way for something to become aware of this self is through limitations. This limited world of physicality is the best at doing that, but it comes with it being a shitty word as a byproduct.

If you mean material existence, it is to try and be the central enjoyer.
If you mean Earth specifically, it is a nexus planet - all the Earthly planets are such - where things arent so bad that you cant think on spiritual matters, but not so luxurious that you never feel the urge.
Places above this arent as good for transcendence because you are always in material enjoyment. Likewise places belowe are full of suffering that make it hard to think clearly.
Earth - and especially a human on Earth - is the best chance you have to understand material existence and get out.

Good point. This reality is fundamentally at least partly evil. In the evolution of life it goes from evil to good, in principle. I will recommend "the goddess of everything else" again. If you understand it you see how things are and how things must become. It's genius.
Anyway if you imagine an eternal existence it could be easier to imagine why we are here. Imagine exploring infinite infinities.
