Why do Christian priests dress in black and red like servants of the devil and darkness? while the pope used white Or is it a reflection of Lucifer and God?
They do the work of the devil using goodness in front of them. Is this a reflection of the collective conscience of Christians?

I think there is simply no way to have a big structure or hierarchy on earth without it drawing superficial resemblance to other big structures and hierarchies.People look at the Catholic Church and the size of it or any organization within it, or even the Orthodox Church for that matter, and make the surface level comparisons between it and, say, Babylon. Once the comparison is identified, then the game is up, and oh well we should all just go in the wilderness with our nag hammadi scriptures and do a naked hump circle and praise the logos or whatever.People want there to be an evil secret society manipulating them headed by lizards. Black clothing is on the one hand austere and unassuming and on the other hand (historically) expensive to produce dyes for as opposed to bright colors. You can exude moderation and luxury at the same time. It's perfect for the church, really.
