To certain sects of Christianity, they do not worship the demiurge. Jesus to them represents the son of the true high God, not the demiurge god of the old testament. It's part of the reason for the rift between them.Not that it really matters which take on God a particular Christian has, neither the demiurge or the high father are anything like what is described and Jesus was a normal human Roman philosopher.

I think deep down they feel emptiness, but religion disguises that as afliction imposed by Satan. Like, deep down they know that they are worshipping this entity, but their lives are miserable. I see this with my grandmother. She is catholic and she is always praying. I swear, everytime I go have with her she is in front of the television watching some random catholic channel and praying the 100000000 rosary of the day. Howeber, she is miserable, she is depressed. She almost don't eat anymore. She is just sad and old. To me this is a sign that christianity does not bring comfort. My grandmother believes in Jesus and God, but they don't do anything to easy her suffering. Maybe God really loves her because she has no joy for the world anymore so maybe the Father's love is really upon her. But my point here is that she knows deep down that there's something wrong. She can't express it with words, but I can see in her eyes that she knows religion is off. We both noticed this one day I was going to the chuch with her. While we were going to the catholic church the other couple was going to the jehova brench of christianity. But I did say to my grandmother, why there's only one God, but so many religion? Don't we believe in the same God? Why are we going to different churches? Is not God one? At least that's what they told us. My point is that pretty much all people believe in the same concept, but somehow people have different traditions to worship God. I don't know why and this bugs the hell out of me. But in that day we both did feel that something was off.

Shepherds never eat their flock. They'll eat goats and other animals. The sheep are a valuable renewable asset because of their wool. And it's a mutually beneficial relationship. You shave the wool in summer to harvest it. You get that material for making cloth with, and the sheep get to be cooler in the summer since it loses that thick heat-retaining coat. The sheep grow it back for the winter where it protects them, and next year you get another harvest of wool.
