You do realize that all the panets were literally named after gods right? So wouldn't it makes more sense that they were already worshiping gods, and then named the planets after them and attacted all the existing lore, and not the other way around, where the acients were worshiping planets?

Where is the holy spirit anywhere linked with the planet mercury? identification with the logos i.e jesus with hermes/toth at least has some basis in the hermeneutic tradition. but the logos is identified with the son, not the spirit.Isis is not a godess of beauty or lust, and is not associated with venus. Horus is in there twice, supposedly representing both saturn and uranus, but is actually linked to the sun, same as Ra.The norse pantheon notably does not have any association to the stars at all. They barely have domains or attributes in the same way as Greek gods have. Their divine character is defined through their deeds, not through their aspect.
