There is a prophecy in the Hermetika that Egypt was the image of heaven and the universe, but one day the gods would gradually abandon them.
Because of the religious and moral degradation of the Gentiles and the Egyptians themselves.
The priests started a religious industry by breeding animals of each deity for mummification. Instead of worshiping the animals well, they tortured them and banished them from Egypt. All of this happened heavily during the end of the last reign and into the Greco-Roman period.
The ignorant villagers, lacking guidance from the Pharaoh, sought to communicate with the gods themselves, thinking they would communicate by offering mummified animals.
Just like Tao said. Things are turned upside down when they reach their highest point. They worship cats as gods, but they kill cats themselves for the cat gods. Christians were no different with the sale of penance certificates and religious trials.

The Egyptian 'Gods' were Pleiadian colonists. I time traveled and asked them if they were Pleiadian, and they said yes. Then they said, they don't refer to themselves as that while they are inside this earth reality. They were lightbody entities, but they had physical form which could interact with the earth, higher density consciousness can do that, I suppose. I told them that their whole civilization was going to fall apart in the post Atlantean deluge. They seemed to say they were still 5 million years away from that.
One of the entities I communicated with basically looked at my aura and seemed to read my vibration and the nature of my existence from that. She seemed to be of the 5th density. I saw a golden vibration from her aura, and she had a thoth mask made of that golden light. The light shifted and her face then appeared to me as if it was the throat chakra vibrational color. Her ethnic appearance was quite something, it seemed almost like it had features from a combination of races. Asiatic, middle eastern, sort of like a middle eastern asian woman, but her color was blue, with a golden yellow aura.
She was with a group, and one of the men in her group was very dark black, I didn't make particular note of his features, but he was a strong stocky build. It seemed like their vibrational appearance was malleable to their thoughts. When I started speaking with the woman, she started writing stuff down on paper. I tried to look at the characters, and it was like heiroglyphics, but maybe more freeform would be how I describe it, something like a protoheiroglyphic writing style that hadn't been standardized yet into what we know as egyptian heiroglyphs.
The 'gods' were these light body entities, imo, and they are Pleiadians.
I'd suggest anyone who is actually serious about occultism, paganism, astrology, to try telepathic communication, and speak speak with entities who were there. I met one Pleiadian who was over 11k years old.
