Greetings. I've come to the realization that although Lost Media is mostly thriving for mainstream stuff and for lost music. The actual concept of looking up old lost digital art and fanart has been something I haven't seen many try to do.
And the worst part is, I think search engines for reverse image searches have gotten progressively worse and worse. Not helping that the remnants of these pieces of art are found in places like old Youtube videos or in thumbnails of shitty fanfics.
This one is something I've been looking for a while, I found this in a tribute video from the 2000s (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMAdrUfiRIQ) when I was going on a Youtube archiving binge. And to my surprise, I couldn't find the source anywhere. Deviantart gave me nothing. Google reverse search gave me nothing. Tineye gave me nothing, Yandex gave me nothing.
Is there any other way I can actually look for these lost pieces of art more efficiently? Is there some kind of other tool or reverse search engine that actually works?
Also I say this in plural because there's other stuff I am trying to look for. Like a thumbnail I found in an some old shitty fanfic from fanfiction.net. But I'll leave that for later after this one is found (or I'll post it to bump the thread)
