By making the chain of command flat, they have more control over which resources are allocated to whom. That's why only shitters complain. They don't have a free pass anymore. I just want to remind everyone that they started paying for less and less of the travel that talents outside of Japan have to make. The entire point of this is to try and force talents not in Japan to move to Japan by crushing the support outside of Japan. You can see this as a good or bad thing, but there's likely other consiquences that come from the merger than just fucking over talents abroad, given people like Bae and IRyS are cautious about it.
