If it's a post-apocalyptic game as many are now speculating, it could be fun and interesting if done correctly because they'll no longer be confined to make something (loosely) historically accurate and can focus on fun. It would be a setting that would allow them to finally do something interesting with Africa and South America for example. Imagine a PDX game where there's something to do in South America besides saving it for last in your world conquest!Kinda worried about Podcat being the lead designer after what HOI4 was before he left and they reworked the entire game, but the alternative is having Johan be the lead designer and we all saw how that went with both Imperator and EU5.
