The nomad ai is even worse than the settled one. If they didn't cheat they would just die within the first 10 years. Not even the modifiers from GA are enough to stop them from entering death spirals. Most of the time they aren't even collecting their resources properly.

My arkship readiness situation is bugged. I have surveyed the targeted system and it is completely discovered, I have no first contacts availabe in my situation log. Am I doing something wrong or it just fucked? Is there a way to use console commands to fix? I had that shitty macrophage event where it corrupts a bunch of pops and it ruined a whole arkship. ...So I put them all on an arkship just for them and settled them on a nice little planet in an isolated sector and now they are my vassal. I get the itch to play Stellaris every now and again so I'll subscribe to the DLC sub for a month or two to get it out of my system. Honestly the game just has way too much going on right now. I wanted to try the Nomadic origins because the CK3 version is pretty fun, but man it's barely even a game now. The barrage of pop-ups and selections you're expected to make at any given moment keeps you from playing the game. It's a visual novel that overwhelms you constantly.

I installed the latest beta several days ago. I have started and lost three games so far on the Ensign difficulty.I hadn't lost a single game for a long time until this version. The AI seems to be more aggressive, and I had warlike neighbors in all three games—it doesn't seem to be random. Also, either enemy fleets are more deliberate in their conquest, or my allies are even more passive than usual; im getting steamrolled, and there is no stopping them.I am going to try a bulletproof setup in the new game. I usually try to be creative in terms of origin and such, but now I want to win. Actually, I haven't been challenged this way in a long time, so it's pretty exciting—unless the AI is cheating somehow. I don't like to play with handicaps or a cheating AI.

Enjoying steady development at this point! Some unknown enemy has hired raiders to harass my empire, but otherwise, I’m lucky enough to have good, non-aggressive neighbours.My economy has stabilized, and I have started robot production in all five colonies. My fleet is rather weak at this point, but since I don’t see any immediate threats, I want to focus on development and growth.I have relatively strong station defences in key locations. Some are currently being rebuilt after the raiders attacked — they had a fleet strength of around 18k. The neighbouring empires should not be able to destroy my stations, so I feel relatively safe even with a weak fleet.My immediate goal is to grow the population as much as possible. there is more than one way to extend leaders' lifespans, but this is one of the coolest imo basically whenever my leaders die, they "respawn" as a clone with some minor handicaps and a shorter lifespan after a while, you get a new clone, so it seems that my leaders became technically immortal. i wonder if the handicaps/negative traits stack with new clones
