I didn't like it. It felt like they took their interesting ideas from Universe at War and stripped all the fun out and replaced one of the factions with literal goo. Like the alien faction just feels like a wimpy version of the aliens from UaW without the cool walking buildings.

1. Base building is incredibly boring because everything is just 1x1 blocks

The final update and the shroud faction broked the game to the point of ubplayability. Breaking the ai and crippling the frame rate. And it was at that same time that the devs abandoned the game. To play it with any sort of working ability you have to play the unmatched version with no dlc.Other than that though I actually enjoyed the game. It tried to introduce a new setting it made the factions each very unique, it had a fresh story that was both compelling and interesting. I think it gets a lot of undue hate and judged harshly for the crime of not being part of an established franchise.

I only played it during the free weekend years ago but I remember the game started lagging and eventually disconnected and kicked me out during a single player skirmish against AI.I did manage to rush through the campaigns anyway. Like everyone else said, it's just boring. The characters suck and the factions suck. The fact that even the goo faction just uses a bunch of walkers for units is impressively uncreative.

I liked some parts of it, but I hated how hard they tried to pander to the esports crowd. They really wanted to be the next SC2, and when the game flopped, all of that development effort put into the multiplayer aspect was wasted.The music was really good, as expected of Frank Klepacki. The campaign was alright, but it was too short. Good ideas, poor execution.
