Is polytopia the only halfway decent mobile strategy game? I know the entire mobile market is cancer but there's gotta be something else I can play on my phone during breaks or when I'm taking a shit at work

Anon... your mobile can emulate PS1/DS/etc games, even if it's a shitty one. Maybe higher console and their catalog if it's a recent one.
That mean at minimum WCII, RA1, C&C, FFT, etc.
Grab RetroArch on the appstore, grab roms/iso on Vimm and stop bothering with mobile-first games.There is also an opensource android version of HoMM3, although it's designed for tablet iirc.

I love Polytopia so much. Been playing on and off since 2018 lmao. It’s a total vibe. I think some of the total war games have mobile ports, but mobile only/first strategy games, it’s basically Polytopia as the only decent one desu. I just wished the dlc purchases would carry over from android to iOS.

Iron Marines 1 and 2 were good fun. But don't bother buying them, better get them on Play Pass to have all the paywalled stuff unlocked. Anyway, the Pass is a good way to access a bunch of good games without having to buy them.

I picked up Ozymandias a few days ago, it's a rather simplistic 4X. So far it feels like a more sophisticated version of Antiyoy, and I don't hate it overall.
