Why do so many mods fail to grasp the lesson taught by TTNW - being able to do radically different paths and strategies with them all being viable is fun. Republican side is pure kino because it lets you play anywhere from old timey liberal republican to turboreactionary, and all of these strategies work so long as you use your brain and adapt to the situation. Meanwhile you get Class War, which by all accounts should be a Bernie powertrip mod, but its just a single path to victory with CYOA stats to shift your endslide text. TTNW GoP is timelessly effective - pick a strat in your minds eye and stick to it to be rewarded. It should be so easy to get right - be radical Bernie and get a Trump style campaign going where you become unsinkable. Be a full on sellout and shift the electoral map. Hammer out some bullshit feelgood, promise nothing real campaign. Etc etc.

In this mod you can, as Nixon, barely do any Watergate shit, pass universal healthcare, sweeping welfare bonuses and environmental protection legislation, end the Vietnam war, save the economy from collapse, pass the ERA, focus hard on civil rights -- all shit that these progressive types should love, and the ending will still be about how much you suck and are some horrific monster.Are they trying to get the player to sympathize and understand Nixon's plight? It plays in to his own paranoia and cynicism, that no matter what he did people would hate him, so he may as well do whatever it takes to accomplish what he thinks will be best.The mods about segregationists or Trump are not nearly as vitriolic.
