Hooded Horse is now the primary publisher of Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era.
Ubisoft still clings to the IP and sticks around in the project, but looks like their straits are getting dire enough to need co-publishers.

Speaking of Hoax Horse "games," the emotional scam known as Espiocracy (espeepeepoopoocracy) has released another "dev diary," the dev pushed it to the last minute on his publish date to just show some more cluttered screenshots with AI generated images, placeholder numbers, and word salad that doesn't explain anything going on in the screenshots.Its been in development for however many years and still no inkling of a delivery date. I doubt the IP is really worth anything to Ubisoft, considering their problems, so they may as well sell it off to HH , and they would immediately take the deal, since it'd be their crown jewel. One man's trash and so on...
Anyhow, I kind of doubt HH is making such huge monnies as anons here describe, the only two *really* succesful games in their portfolio (by industry's standard, not by strategy games niche's one) are Manor Lords and Against The Storm.Considering that 12%-30% of the sales alone go to the pocket of the storefronts, and that publishing is capital intensive business.
I don't really care about their games either way, most sit somewhere around "meh" or are astroturfed, but I want to use this opportunity to say that I think Heart of the Machine SUCKS!

They had a strong foundation left by 3DO, they did somewhat succeed with Heroes V via Nival, but after Dark Messiah and Clash of Heroes it all went down the gutter.If they wanted to do more Ashan stuff, then they could've instead made a sequel starting Sareth.
