i haven't played in years, unequivocally the greatest strategy game of all time. It's too over stimulating for me and i get over invested. Soul crushing when you lose.>spend countless hours autistically learning the game and almost every spell and unit
>practice and finally get good at an opening and perfecting a build
>get a good mp game going where im crushing the early game and making good alliances and treaties like im bismark
>start snowballing and have everybody exactly where i want them
>spend every waking hour thinking about the game and going through all the different scenarios to craft a path foward
>get over confident and calculate that i can win a war on 2 fronts, and that by doing so i will reach a point where i am unstoppable and can no longer be stopped by the inevitable incoming gang up coalition
>the war comes to a climax and in one turn i attack the enemies capital on front 1 and barely lose out on taking it by a mere handful of units, and on front 2 after a long cat and mouse hunt with a horse nigger opponent that has been running from my superior forces, he is able to wipe out one of my smaller armies unexpectedly, delaying the war on front 2 longer than i had anticipated.
>the very next turn 3 of my neighbors pounce on the momentary weakness and backstab me. If i had won at least one of my fronts i would have the forces to stabilize and use superior end game magic to win, but i can't fight a 5 front war now.

How the FUCK does combat works in this game. No matter how I set formation, I end up with my archers overrun by enemy, and putting regular units between archers doesn't really work. Why there isn't a formation command "protect your archers" or if you mix archers with infantry, they doing that automatically in a fucking sensible way, rather than "if there is an unit there, it's gonna fight, but otherwise fuck this shit, let archers die"t. newfag that spend probably more time with guides than actually playing, given I'm overrrun on regular basis by shit-tier units of AI
