I've got a big problem with some of the current interpretations of Side B/Weird Route. So, a lot of them put a lot of importance on Kris and Noelle, and that's not necessarily wrong, they are very important, Noelle's desire to break free is a key part of the weird route, it's what allows you to start it and get the thorn ring, cast snowgrave, cross the lake, everything, so Noelle is extremely important. Kris is important too, it might be that he is really not all that comfortable with following whatever scheme he's involved in, and it could be that he too wants to find a way to break free, and this is what allows you to pick all the Proceed options. But, if we're only ever considering Noelle and Kris when talking about the weird route, doesn't that feel strange? Don't you get the feeling that you're forgetting about someone? Think back to the events of the weird route, don't you remember there was someone else too? In chapter 4, in Noelle's bedroom scene, there was someone else wasn't it?That's right, there was Noelle, and there was Kris, but there also was "Me.". And that's the one I often see people dismissing completely. Noelle and Kris's desires are very important to the weird route, but there is also "Me", this was clearly shown in the dialogue options during 4, "Me" is important to the weird route too, and cannot be easily ignored. "Me", the heart on a chain, that is a key player in the weird route too, and you cannot just ignore it and focus on just Kris and Noelle if you're seriously speculating on what's gonna happen in 7B.

In terms of Mother 1 parallels, I've been thinking of a couple things Noelle is meant to be both Pippi and Teddy She's this girl who happens to be freakishly strong that helps you out when you're all alone and eventually leaves the party. Later in the game Teddy kicks out the white-haired glasses boy and takes his place. Teddy is also really strong and uses swords. Later on though, there is a big romantic scene. I think Deltarune will stray from the source material a bit and either have Kris and Noelle dance (like in SFB) or have Noelle and Susie dance (so Gigi can scream). Though during all that some big threat will show up causing Noelle to become severely injured/die (it changed depending on the version of Mother 1 you were playing) and Ralsei will show up to save the rest of the team.I also think Eve : Vessel is a big one I think we'll be struggling in the shelter. Then you'll find the Vessel in a lab deep below the depths and it will help you and is pretty capable, but ultimately it will give its life to protect you from a threat that would've been too difficult to defeat.Maybe on the Weird Route though we'll break how things are supposed to go. In Mother 1 you could already sequence break to keep Teddy forever and never have to get Lloyd back. We could be strong enough to not only prevent Noelle from dying, but save the Vessel too.

It's interesting to see so many people dismiss things that could be shows as hints to any of the mysteries in the game, or foreshadowing of future events. You have for example the guitar sound that plays at 0 volume in the scene in chapter 4 with the hand pushing back, some people will say, without a shred of irony, that this scene means nothing and Toby put it there for no reason, or even as a deliberate misdirection. I think it's a trauma response that originates from things like the fakeout from Chapter 1's end and Chapter 2's intro, and the Flower Man panel in Chapter 4 and the expectations it brought versus Chapter 5's actual story events.

The real problem with Flowe4y is the fight shouldn't involve the flowers attacking you, it should be a full pacifist fight on both sides so maybe have something like TP is treated as your health and they're trying to push you away and the loss condition for the fight is getting pushed into a light pillar and returned to the real world. That's just one example, but in general it's dumb that you have to hold back when they aren't.

Basically, dark worlds are powered by imagination. Flowery can set his stats to whatever he wants by imaging it so. The knight got around it by denying the fantasy, using his real lightner strength to overpower a flower. It's a great strategy against darkners, but doesn't work against lightners. The fun gang would easily overpower Rudy.
