Ch5 would have been better if it let you have another chance to fight the Knight instead of a cutscene battle where the perspective shifts to flowery for no reason. Remember how much of a letdown the festival was? My theory regarding the Twisted Route is that it's real, but it actually has nothing to do with the Weird Route and Mantle. You don't need to do abort the WR because you'll be able to get a thorn ring later. How I think it's gonna work is that you're gonna reach 7, and if you don't have the sword, you can still continue the chapter, and maybe even finish it, but it will basically be Deltarune's version of the Neutral route, to get something extra you need the Twisted Sword. I believe Mantle is purely Weird Route related and there's no connection between routes besides the thorn ring showing up in both routes, but earlier in the WR. >but how do you know you will get the thorn ring in the normal route It was revealed to me in a dream.

I don't know why the idea of jumping from the weird route into a city with Susie and Ralsei is so strange to some people. Where does the game start? In the goner maker. Where is the goner maker? Well, based on the background, somewhere with lots of water. Where are we going to in the weird route? Somewhere that's in the depths of the lake. So there's a good chance that we are going into the area where the goner maker is, we are going back to the very start of the game, so what's so strange about using the goner maker as a jump pad to earlier chapters? Why isn't it possible? You can already select a savefile and start any chapter you want, shadow crystals are even saved on the savefile when you get them. So what's the argument here, that the chapter selection screen is just something completely unrelated to the actual game world? The Silver Watch is gone from my inventory and it does that if you start Chapter 4 on the weird routeIt was absolutely worthless, but I'm still surprised he changed it. Doesn't seem like starting chapter 5 removes it if you have the watch from a pre-patch chapter 4 completion save, so those saves can have a legacy item you can no longer get.

Out of curiosity I did some calculations regarding pacifying In a fight with two enemies (which most fights are), you can end it on turn 2 if you >go all in on offense as either Kris or Susie, stacking on their best weapons and whatever AT boosting equipment is necessary to get to 36 AT. Kris would need +3 AT or Susie would need +2 AT on top of their ultimate weapon. Either give the PowerBand to Kris or the SpikeBand to Susie to make this work. >Have your main fighter attack one enemy while the other two attack the other >The main fighter MUST get a crit, there is no way around this >This will tire both enemies >Then on turn two, have Kris defend and Susie ScytheMare (you should have enough TP since attacking gives you a lot, you should only need to have gotten about 8 TP from grazing) You're almost never able to spare all enemies on turn two, so if you're up for the challenge you can make battles go a little quicker.(while the AquaKnife sounds like it'd make this really easy, using it means Kris cannot possibly deal enough damage to crit an enemy into being tired. Now it's currently bugged and gives everyone the bonus crit zone, meaning if you have Susie be your main fighter, you can reliably get the crits necessary, but this will almost certainly be patched before next time. Had a dream where there was a sequence in the normal route at the end of Chapter 6 where you had to continuously press buttons to gradually make Kris break down and show more agency and show that they know their life (or at least Dark Worlds) is a video game, at one point they explain GameMaker since it also exists in-universe and Kris and Noelle messed around with it and they noticed some similarities. It took place in the Undertale battle format but it wasn't really a battle, just a set of QTEs pretty much. At the end it's revealed that Kris really wants to kill a specific, extremely annoying math-based Darkner introduced that chapter, because they fucking hate math. Like actually kill him. You have the choice to either let them do it or to try to prevent it. If they do it, they smile menacingly like the end of Chapter 1. If they don't do it, they break down crying. Either way, that becomes the cliffhanger going into Chapter 7.
